### Modern Dentistry: Minimally Invasive or Implants? How reliable is IPS e.max, and what guides the choice between extraction and restoration? The progressive shift towards minimally invasive dentistry is evident. The ultimate goal is to preserve as much of the tooth structure as possible and extend pulpal vitality. Another noticeable trend in restorative dentistry is the move towards metal-free restorations. These tooth-colored restorations must withstand demanding multi-factorial oral conditions, and some failures related to technical and/or biological aspects are anticipated. ### Clinical Evidence and Treatment Modalities This webinar reviews findings from clinical studies on the survival of glass ceramic complete and partial coverage restorations. It presents data on the incidence of endodontic therapy following the placement of either complete or partial coverage glass ceramic restorations, and addresses the terminal treatment modality – replacing a tooth with an implant. Is it truly a complication-free solution? The discussion covers what clinicians should expect with implant-retained restorations and how complications can be minimized. ### Learning Objectives - Compare the incidence of endodontic therapy after receiving either complete or partial coverage glass ceramic restorations - Evaluate the clinical variables that influence the incidence of endodontic therapy in prosthodontic treatment - Review potential complications associated with implant-retained restorations - Receive guidance on minimizing implant-related complications
